Pedestrian Struck and Injured by SUV near East Garland Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 14, 2018) – A woman was injured Wednesday afternoon following a pedestrian crash on North Blackstone Avenue. The name and place of residence of the 29-year-old victim were not disclosed to the public.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened at approximately 2:45 PM. Two women were walking southbound when they entered a crosswalk near East Garland Avenue. A Cadillac Escalade was preparing to turn north when it hit one of the pedestrians, dragging her 25 feet away from the sidewalk.
The victim suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and medical evaluation. Further updates on her current medical condition were not provided. Meanwhile, the 65-year-old woman driving the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
