NEWARK, CA (November 6, 2022) – Early Wednesday, a 29-year-old Fremont man died in a hit-and-run crash on Central Avenue near California Street.
 
The incident happened at around 2:11 a.m. on Central Avenue near California Street.
 
According to reports, a westbound vehicle struck and killed a 29-year-old Fremont man on Central Avenue. After the crash, the suspect’s vehicle left the crash scene before the officers arrived.
 
The Newark officers and the Alameda County Fire Department responded to the scene. Then, they found the man lying in the roadway on Central Avenue near California Street.
 
They immediately administered medical care. However, the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
