1 Seriously Injured after Phoenix Pedestrian Accident
PHOENIX, AZ (November 21, 2019) – A 28-year-old woman sustained injuries after three vehicles struck her on Indian School Road.
The woman tried to cross Indian School Road near 81st Avenue at about 6:00 p.m. on November 19. However, she got hit and suffered incapacitating injuries.
According to a witness, three vehicles hit the pedestrian. However, no one could describe the first crash. Meanwhile, the second vehicle, a newer model truck, could be Chevrolet, escaped the scene. The third vehicle stopped and stayed at the scene.
Reports revealed that the third vehicle struck the woman while the pedestrian is already lying on the road. The driver halted upon realizing that he struck someone. He didn’t show signs of impairment. However, it’s still unclear whether the woman suffered from impairment.
The victim is in critical condition while the investigation remains active.
Furthermore, the incident shut down Indian School Road in both directions between 81st and 83rd avenues.
