1 Dead in Claremont Auto Accident on 10 Freeway near Indian Hill Boulevard

 
CLAREMONT, CA (September 21, 2020) – Saturday morning, a 27-year-old woman died in a crash on 10 Freeway near Indian Hill Boulevard.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash at 1:10 a.m. on 10 Freeway near Indian Hill Boulevard.
 
According to CHP, a black 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-300 driving at 70 mph rear-ended a 2020 Freightliner tractor/trailer. Meanwhile, the big rig traveled at a speed of around 45 mph.
 
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found two vehicles blocking the middle lanes. Moreover, the sedan faced sideways in the lanes.
 
The authorities declared the female passenger deceased at the scene. On the other hand, the sedan driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. Both of them were Upland residents.
 
At this time, it’s unclear whether alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.
