Fatal Kern County Accident on Lerdo Highway and Main Drain Road
KERN COUNTY, CA (January 21, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a 26-year-old Lost Hills man died in a head-on crash on Lerdo Highway and Main Drain Road.
The authorities received a report of the crash at about 6:16 a.m. According to reports, a Kia SUV headed east on Lerdo Highway, about a mile west of Main Drain Road. Meanwhile, a Honda sedan traveled west on the highway. Also, the Honda weaved in the lanes and around the shoulder.
As the Honda driver approached the eastbound lane, the Honda collided head-on with the SUV. As a result, the driver died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the authorities believe that the driver possibly suffered a medical emergency before the accident. Thus, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
On the other hand, the 44-year-old Kia driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Kern Medical for treatment.
