Two Injured in Seattle Fatal Collision
Seattle, WA (February 8, 2023) – On Tuesday, a 25-year-old woman died in a suspected DUI crash on Aurora Avenue North.
The traffic collision took place before 3:30 p.m. in the 9600 block area.
According to the authorities, a forklift entered Aurora Avenue from the west side of the street and drove east until he crashed with a southbound SUV. Afterward, the SUV to collided with a landscape truck.
The Seattle Fire Department rushed a 25-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man who were riding the SUV to Harborview Medical Center.
The woman was critically injured and later died at the hospital while the 27-year-old man was rushed in serious condition.
Similarly, the 30-year-old landscape truck driver was reported to be in stable condition.
Later on, the authorities arrested the 54-year-old man driving the forklift.
Officers suspect he was under the influence of intoxicants and took him to the North Precinct to be checked by a Drug Recognition Expert.
He sustained minor injuries and is expected to be jailed in the King County Jail Wednesday evening. He could face charges of vehicular homicide.
