Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 99 Kills Woman Driver

 
Fresno, CA (November 20, 2020) – On Friday, a 25-year-old woman driver died in a head-on crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 7.
 
The fatal incident took place after midnight when the driver’s Chevy crashed head-on with a Nissan.
 
Authorities said five vehicles were involved in the accident, including a big rig.
 
The crash resulted in a major pile-up, blocking several lanes of traffic.
 
Police pronounced the 25-year-old driver dead at the scene.
 
“When there is a wrong-way collision, there is always the possibility of the driver being DUI. In this case, it’s a little early, and we’ll have to wait for the toxicology reports to come back,” said CHP Sgt. Lincoln McKenna.
 
Meanwhile, investigators said no one else was injured in the crash.
