1 Hurt in San Diego Motorcycle Accident in Clairemont Mesa East
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 12, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a 25-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries in a crash in Clairemont Mesa East.
According to reports, at 5:40 p.m., a 2008 Cadillac CTS was making an exit from a shopping center driveway. However, it hit the motorcyclist, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.
Then, the Cadillac continued driving south until it crashed into an apartment gate. Heims added that the 2018 Honda sport bike went into the bushes at a different apartment complex.
The San Diego Police Traffic Division is currently handling the investigation. However, they confirmed that a sobriety check cleared the Cadillac driver of possible DUI charges.
Due to the crash, the motorcyclist sustained a broken femur and other serious injuries. However, these injuries were non-life-threatening.
The authorities urge anyone with information about the collision to contact the SDPD at 619-531-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-580-8477.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
The Rising Numbers of Accident in the US
According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year.
Roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings.
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a crash.
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney.
“Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring. A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
