1 Dead in Bakersfield Crash on Peterson Road and Highway 43
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 21, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a 24-year-old woman died in an accident on Peterson Road and Highway 43.
According to reports, just before 5:00 p.m., a Nissan Versa traveled east on Peterson Road, near Highway 43. Meanwhile, a 2007 Nissan Murano headed north on Highway 43.
Then, the Versa driver failed to yield at a stop sign and drove into the path of the Murano.
As a result, both vehicles crashed and stopped in the northeast corner of the intersection.
Furthermore, responders transported the driver and passenger of the Murano, both 65-year-olds, to Kern Medical with minor to moderate injuries.
Moreover, responders took the Versa driver with major injuries to Kern Medical. Unfortunately, she died of her injuries.
