1 Dead in Marin County Auto Accident on Point Reyes Petaluma Road near Hicks Valley Road

 
MARIN COUNTY, CA (December 11, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a 22-year-old Petaluma man died in a traffic crash on Point Reyes Road.
 
The incident occurred at about 1:22 p.m. on Point Reyes Petaluma Road near Hicks Valley Road.
 
According to reports, the crash involved two cars, a 2000 Subaru Impreza and a 1999 Honda Accord.
 
Meanwhile, the investigation revealed that wet road conditions played a role.
 
Reports said that the Subaru headed south on Point Reyes Petaluma Road while the Honda was going northbound.
 
Afterward, the Subaru driver lost control and went into the northbound lanes. Then, the front of the Honda crashed with the Subaru’s passenger side.
 
As a result, the Subaru driver succumbed to injuries at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the Honda driver, a 58-year-old Olema resident sustained “major” non-life-threatening injuries. Then, responders took him to a nearby hospital.
 
At this time, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Also, the authorities diverted traffic over to San Antonio Road and Hicks Valley Road.
