Drivers Killed in Vehicle Crash Near 16900 Eastex Freeway
Houston, TX (April 13, 2024) – 22-year-old Bret Dabney was killed in a Highway 59 collision Thursday morning.
It was about 4:05 a.m. when the fatal wrong-way crash happened near 16900 Eastex Freeway.
Houston Police officers said a woman was driving a white Cadillac CTS the wrong way and struck a gray Nissan Altima traveling north.
Responding officers declared the man in the Altima, Bret Dabney, deceased at the scene.
The woman in the Cadillac was transported to a hospital where she was later declared deceased.
Dabney was the son of a Conroe Police Department dispatcher.
The Conroe Police Officers Association created a GoFundMe to help support Dabney’s mother and family.
