1 Hospitalized after Hoodsport Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101
HOODSPORT, WA (August 12, 2020) – Sunday night, a 21-year-old Shelton man sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 101.
The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. north of Hoodsport. According to reports, the rider traveled north on Highway 101 and Virginia Avenue. At the same time, another vehicle stopped in the northbound shoulder of Highway 101.
As the 26-year-old Shelton man driving the other vehicle made an illegal U-turn from the shoulder, the rider collided with him.
Afterward, responders transported the 21-year-old motorcycle rider to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old male driver was uninjured.
The crash affected and stalled traffic in the area for three hours.
