20-Year-Old Rider Injured in Motorcycle Collision on Marvin Road [Lacey, WA]

Lacey, WA (May 9, 2023) – On May 8, a 20-year-old motorcycle rider from Lacey sustained injuries following a collision on Marvin Road.

The traffic collision took place at about 12:30 p.m. near Martin Way.

Investigating officers said the motorcycle rider made a left turn from Les Schwab Tire toward southbound Marvin Road when at the same time, a pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Olympia resident turned left from The Wave Car Wash to northbound Marvin Road. 

As a result, the motorcycle and the pickup truck collided in the middle turn lane.

The Harley-Davidson rider sustained injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The pickup truck driver, on the other hand, did not sustain any injuries from the accident.

Officers said there were no signs of impairment in the collision.
