20-Year-Old Woman Killed in Murray Road Traffic Accident
Yakima, WA (March 25, 2022) On Wednesday, a 20-year-old male passenger was injured in a fatal collision on the 600 block of Murray Road.
The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) says that a single-cab pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old woman hit the side of a flatbed trailer at around 10:30 p.m.
Moreover, the YCSO says that the flatbed trailer inflicted massive damage, killing the female driver outright.
Rescuers airlifted the male patient to a nearby facility with an unknown conditions.
Officials are investigating the collision.
Authorities say that impairment was ruled out as a factor for the crash. However, they are looking into speed and inattention as probable causes.
