Driver Arrested in El Cajon Fatal DUI Crash
El Cajon, CA (July 28, 2022) – On Wednesday, a 20-year-old female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on North Second Street.
The fatal accident took place at around 8:50 p.m. near the Interstate 8 on-ramp.
Officers say they found the woman lying on the street and rushed her to a hospital where she died.
According to the investigators, the victim was standing near the crosswalk when the driver of a northbound silver Hyundai Sonata drove onto the sidewalk and struck her.

They booked him into the San Diego County Jail on multiple charges.
