Immediately, the child was transported to a hospital but later died.

Moreover, the vehicle involved in this accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The authorities are looking for video surveillance footage in the area that might have recorded the traffic incident.

Officers said speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the collision.

Sweet Lawyers extends our condolences to the family of the child who was fatally struck on Mowry Avenue. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

The Aftermath of the Mowry Avenue Accident

The Mowry Avenue accident is a clear example that despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models, the accident rate in California continues to increase rather than decrease.

The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are becoming rampant. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.

As a matter of fact, according to the NHTSA, two out of three motorists will be involved in an accident during their life.
