Injuries Reported in La Jolla Accident on State Route 52 and Interstate 5
LA JOLLA, CA (December 30, 2021) – Wednesday morning, two women sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on State Route 52 and Interstate 5.
According to the CHP, the crash occurred at about 12:15 a.m. Moreover, it happened on the eastbound side of State Route 5 near the transition to Interstate 5.
Reports confirmed that two women tried to change out a flat tire on their car. Then, an eastbound vehicle may have lost control due to the rain-slicked road struck them.
As a result, responders took them to Scripps La Jolla Hospital.
Meanwhile, the uninjured vehicle driver stayed at the scene.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Drivers should also keep in mind that distracted driving, speeding, and failing to yield will lead to dangerous road accidents.
How To Proceed From a Crash
Driving is essential for many to move about in their lives. However, it is one of the most dangerous daily maneuvers. Thus, it is therefore important to know how to proceed in case you find yourself involved in a traffic collision.
On the AAA Foundation Website, chief executive officer Peter Kissinger repeatedly labeled the epidemic of motor vehicle-related accidents a “public health crisis.”
Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious auto accident cases may call for a separate investigation. Moreover, it must be spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party. A lawyer will make sure victims are not cheated of the proper compensation they are owed.
