3 Children and 1 Adult Hospitalized After Crash on West 6th Street and Main Street in Chico
Chico, CA (July 6, 2023) – Thursday night, 4 people including 3 children sustained injuries in a 2-vehicle crash on West 6th Street and Main Street.
According to Chico police, shortly before 9 p.m., an Acura sedan was traveling westbound on West 6th Street when it collided with a Toyota minivan traveling northbound on Main Street.
Moreover, the minivan had the green light when it collided with the Acura, sending it spinning into Jack’s store, where the rear of the car crashed into the building.
Police said two children in the minivan, one child in the Acura, and one adult in the Acura were transported via ambulance to the hospital.
All children were transported out of precaution, while the adult sustained a moderate head injury.
Police said they believe all parties involved were wearing their seat belts, which likely lent a hand in mitigating injury.
Investigators do not know if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
