2 People Airlifted after 2-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 395 in Hesperia
Hesperia, CA (May 11, 2023) – Thursday night, three people sustained injuries in a crash on US Highway 395.
The crash on US Highway 395 in Hesperia happened at about 6:30 pm, on May 11.
San Bernardino County Fire responded and located two vehicles. A white Toyota Prius with extensive damage and the driver trapped inside and a Chevy Suburban SUV several hundred feet away.
Two helicopters were requested to land at the site after firefighters reported a total of three urgent patients. A female passenger was extricated from the Toyota.
Two Mercy Airships landed on the highway and flew two of the seriously injured patients to trauma centers. The third patient was transported by ground ambulance.
An adult male from the SUV involved was handcuffed and transported from the scene in a patrol car. At this time, the identity, or reason he was arrested is unknown.
Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this crash is ongoing.
