Violent 2-Vehicle Crash on Road R Southwest Kills 3 People [Grant County, WA]

Grant County, WA (February 29, 2024) On Thursday morning, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on Road R Southwest between a pickup truck and a garbage truck led to fatalities.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the disastrous crash happened at about 6 a.m. on Road 25 Southwest and Road R Southwest.

Reports say that the driver of a westbound Ford F-150 pickup with 4 occupants failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound garbage truck.

Officials pronounced 3 of the passengers on the Ford dead at the scene, while the driver suffered serious injuries. Medics transported the driver to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Authorities say that all the passengers killed in the collision were Mexican nationals.

Meanwhile, the garbage truck driver, identified as a 50-year-old Warden man, suffered minor injuries.

GCSO is investigating the fatal collision and has not released further information at this time.
