1 Person Airlifted after 2-Vehicle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura

Ventura, CA (August 10, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, 3 people sustained injuries in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The crash happened around 3:20 p.m. on a stretch of the coastal highway north of Neptune’s Net in Ventura County.

CHP said the collision involved a passenger car and an RV.

A Ventura County helicopter, called to the scene, landed shortly after 3:45 p.m. The highway was closed in both directions for rescue efforts. The helicopter flew to Ventura County Medical Center with a patient before 4 p.m.

Firefighters on the scene described caring for three patients. 

Ventura County Fire Department officials later shared in a tweet that one patient in critical condition was airlifted from the scene and two patients with moderate injuries were transported by ground ambulance.
