2 People Hospitalized After Crash on Litchfield Road in Goodyear

Goodyear, AZ (May 30, 2024) – On Wednesday, two people sustained severe injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Litchfield Road.

 Reportedly, a properly restrained 2-month-old baby survived a severe car crash on Wednesday in Goodyear. 

Goodyear and Avondale firefighters responded to a two-vehicle crash near Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street. 

According to the Goodyear Fire Department, a 30-year-old man needed to be extricated from the wreckage and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

An injured woman was also transported to the hospital. The fire department safely removed the 2-month-old baby from one of the vehicles, and the infant was not injured. 

The fire department credited the child’s car seat for the baby’s survival.

Further investigation is ongoing.
