Police Investigate 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 in Yreka

Yreka, CA (June 28, 2024) – On Friday, police investigated a 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 involving a CHP Patrol officer.

The officer was driving northbound on Interstate 5 near Moonlit Oaks Avenue in the Yreka Area around 3:22 a.m., attempting to assist a driver in the southbound lanes. 

According to the CHP, the patrol vehicle collided with another vehicle. 

All individuals involved were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a precaution. 

The crash is under investigation.
