1 Person Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 15 in Victorville

Victorville, CA (May 14, 2024) – On Tuesday, one person sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 15.

Reportedly, a crash involving two vehicles on the D Street offramp from northbound Interstate 15 disrupted traffic for afternoon commuters in old town Victorville. 

The collision occurred at approximately 2:06 pm on May 14, 2024, at the intersection of D Street and the northbound I-15 offramp.

According to the CHP traffic log, the vehicles involved were a white Nissan Pathfinder SUV and a semi tractor-trailer. 

Reports indicate that the semi, which was pulling a set of mini belly dump trailers, lost its brakes while exiting the freeway. 

It went through the intersection, made contact with the Nissan, and jackknifed. 

An ambulance transported the driver of the Nissan to a local hospital, while the semi driver was not injured.

Afternoon commuters sought alternative routes as authorities closed off the road. 

The California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office, is investigating the incident, and we will update this story with more information as it becomes available from the CHP’s preliminary accident report.
