Disastrous 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 43 Results in Fatality [Visalia, CA]

Visalia, CA (August 19, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a man died and another 2 were hurt after a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 43.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly big rig collision happened on Highway 43 near Avenue 120.

Reports say that a northbound International Transtar big rig was not able to avoid a collision with a southbound 07 Nissan Sentra, who was turning left onto Avenue 120 from Highway 43.

Officials say that the big rig driver attempted to brake and avoid the vehicle, however the proximity between the 2 vehicles made the collision unavoidable. The International Transtar struck the right side of the Nissan Sentra.

Authorities say that 2 men from the Nissan were hospitalized while a 3rd man was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the truck driver escaped injuries.
