2 People Hospitalized After Crash on Highway 36 in Potosi

Potosi, TX (November 24, 2023) – On Friday evening, 2 people were hospitalized after a crash on Highway 36.

Reportedly, the collision happened just before 5:50 p.m. on Friday and was responded to by Texas Department of Public Safety troopers. The crash involved a number of children.

Authorities said a passenger van was traveling northbound on Highway 36 when a passenger car on FM 1750 stopped at a stop sign but failed to yield. The van struck the car, causing it to overturn.

The driver and passenger of the car were both transported to the hospital with minor injuries. All occupants in the van were treated by EMS and then released on the scene. 

A person claiming to be involved in the wreck added that multiple children were part of the incident, and precautionary measures were taken through further evaluation.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
