Disastrous 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 132 Led to Fatality [Modesto, CA]

Modesto, CA (April 14, 2023) On Thursday morning, a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 132 resulted in fatality and injuries.

CHP says that the fatal traffic accident happened at about 2:40 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Highway 132.

Reports say that a pickup truck was driving west on the eastbound lanes of the highway when it struck a big rig head-on.

Officials say that the crash killed the wrong-way driver. Meanwhile, the big rig driver sustained serious injuries and a passenger on the big rig suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, a 3-year-old child did not get hurt. All 3 occupants of the big rig were from Lodi.

CHP is investigating the probable cause of the wrong-way accident, at this time no additional information is available.
