Semi-Truck Driver Injured after Crash on Highway 111 in El Centro
El Centro, CA (May 19, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, one person was hurt after a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 111.
The crash on Highway 111 in El Centro happened around 2:50 pm on May 16.
Reportedly, the El Centro Fire Department responded to a Mutual Aid request from the Imperial County Fire Department. The request was to assist with a semi-truck fire at the intersection of Highway 111 and Worthington Road.
They dispatched one Fire Engine and a Battalion Chief to the scene. At 2:50 pm, while en route to the fire incident, the El Centro Paramedic Engine 32 was involved in a traffic collision with a semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 111 and Evan Hewes Highway.
Paramedics provided immediate care to the semi-driver. No other injuries were reported.
