2 People Hospitalized after Crash on Highway 101 in Cuesta Grade

Cuesta Grade, CA (January 5, 2024) – On Friday evening, two people sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 101.

CHP reported that an oncoming vehicle broadsided a car, injuring the male driver and female passenger, near Reservoir Canyon Road on Highway 101.

An Officer explained that a 2021 Toyota Corolla, carrying the injured male driver and female passenger, had been waiting at a stop sign at the intersection of Reservoir Canyon Road and Highway 101, attempting a left turn onto southbound Highway 101. 

As the Corolla entered the intersection, a northbound Honda Civic in the No. 1 lane on Highway 101 collided with it, not having enough time to stop and hitting the Corolla on the driver’s side.

The female driver of the Honda managed to walk away from the scene.

Currently, the extent of the injuries to the two individuals in the Corolla remains unknown.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
