Violent 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 Kills Motorcyclist [San Mateo County, CA]

San Mateo County, CA (May 26, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, a motorcyclist died after a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 1.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal traffic collision happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Highway 1 at Mirada Road.

Officials say that a motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in the crash.

Medics rendered aid to the injured rider, however, the motorcyclist ultimately succumbed to their injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say that the fatal crash closed lanes in both northbound and southbound directions.
