Austin, TX (July 4, 2024) Early Thursday morning, a person died and 2 others were hurt in a violent 2-vehicle collision on Research Boulevard.

According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS), the fatal crash happened around 2 a.m. on the 11800 block of Research Boulevard.

Reports say that 2 vehicles collided in North Austin, near Covert Buick GMC.

Officials pronounced a person dead at the scene, while 2 others were taken to St. David’s Round Rock.

Medics say that one person is in critical condition while the other suffered possible serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle crash.
