2-Vehicle Collision on Market Street Kills 63-Year-Old Man [San Diego, CA]

3 People Injured in Chollas View Deadly Crash

San Diego, CA (March 6, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, a 2-vehicle collision on Market Street near 45th Street killed a 63-year-old man and injured 3 others.

The San Diego police say that the deadly crash happened at around 1 p.m. in the Chollas View neighborhood.

According to the investigating officers, the 63-year-old driver crossed onto the opposite and crashed his westbound 1993 Nissan Maxima into a 2018 Lexus RX 350 SUV. 

Paramedics rushed the 63-year-old man to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Meanwhile, a passenger on the Lexus complained of pain, while the 61-year-old driver and another passenger did not sustain injuries.

In the meantime, the police are investigating the deadly 2-vehicle collision and have not released further details at this time.
