Seattle Man Involved in Suspected DUI Crash on I-5
(November 06, 2023) On Thursday evening, a 44-year-old Olympia man suffered injuries after a 2-vehicle collision on Interstate 5.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the suspected DUI crash happened around 10:25 p.m. on I-5 near the Marvin Road overpass.
Reports say that a 31-year-old Seattle man was driving a northbound vehicle on I-5 approaching the Marvin Road overpass, when he drove off the road to the left, struck a cable barrier, crashed through the freeway median and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by the Olympia man.
Officials say that the Olympia man suffered injuries and was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Meanwhile, the Seattle man escaped injuries, however, he is now facing a vehicular assault charge because of the suspected DUI.
Authorities are investigating the suspected DUI crash and have not released further details at this time.
