Tragic 2-Vehicle Collision on Gosford Road Injures Woman [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (June 10, 2023) On Thursday evening, a female driver was hurt in a deadly 2-vehicle collision on Gosford Road that killed a man.

The Bakersfield Police Department say that the disastrous crash happened around 10:41 p.m. at the intersection with District Boulevard.

Reports say that a male driver failed to stop at a red light and collided with another vehicle driven by a female driver. Consequently, the man’s vehicle struck a tree afterward.

Officials say that witnesses helped the man out of his wrecked vehicle, and first responders found the severely injured man on the roadway.

Despite rescuers performing CPR until medical aid arrived, and the Bakersfield Fire and Hall Ambulance personnel continued lifesaving measures, the man ultimately succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the female driver was transported to a hospital for the injuries she suffered in the disastrous crash.
