2 Transported in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Spring Valley Road [Kansas City, MO]

Kansas City, MO (December 27, 2024) – A driver and a passenger were hurt following a solo-vehicle crash on Spring Valley Road Wednesday night.

It was around 8:20 p.m. on Christmas when the traffic accident happened in the area of Bannister Terrace.

Investigators said a black Dodge Charger had been speeding down Spring Valley Road when the driver attempted to take the curve. The driver veered off the right side of the road and struck a fence and a large tree that stopped the vehicle.

The driver who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The front seat passenger who was wearing their seatbelt, was also rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said that as of Thursday, the driver remains in critical condition while the passenger is stable. 

The authorities are conducting a further investigation into the accident.
