2 Boys Hospitalized After Long Beach Pedestrian Collision
LONG BEACH, CA (January 14, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, two teens were injured in a pedestrian car accident on East 15th Street. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash happened around 6:55 AM on Martin Luther King Jr Avenue.
As the California Highway Patrol reported, two boys, 17 and 18-years-old were crossing the street when they were struck by a van.
The Long Beach Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after. One was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center and the other to the Long Beach Memorial. Paramedics stated they were in critical but in stable condition.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Drugs and alcohol did not seem to be contributing factors in the crash.
