Austin Crownover Arrested after Alleged Drunk Driving Accident near Adams Street
ELK GROVE, CA (July 15, 2018) – Two people weres seriously injured Sunday evening following a suspected DUI collision on Elk Grove Boulevard.
As per reports, the crash took place shortly after 7:30 PM at the intersection of Adams Street and Elk Grove Boulevard. A vehicle was attempting to turn right from Adams Street onto Elk Grove Boulevard when it was struck by a second vehicle.
A man and a woman, occupants of the struck vehicle, were rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Recent updates stated that the woman was listed in critical condition. Their identities were not immediately released by authorities.
The driver responsible for the crash was identified as 27-year-old Austin Crownover, a resident of Elk Grove. Crownover showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and is reportedly being held without bail at this time.
