2 Hurt in Torrance Car Accident
TORRANCE, CA (February 19, 2019) – Two drivers sustained serious injuries after a traffic crash on Pacific Coast Highway on February 17.
Torrance Police Lt. Hector Bermudez revealed that it was before 9:00 a.m. when the police received a call about a speeding vehicle traveling recklessly on eastbound Pacific Coast Highway.
Just a short while, another caller reported that the same reckless driver ran a red light and broadsided another vehicle in the Prospect Avenue.
The two drivers were not awake when the authorities came. They were both transported to a hospital after suffering serious injuries. There were no other people inside their respective vehicles.
As a result, Pacific Coast Highway was shut down in both directions in the area while traffic investigators work. It was after 1:00 p.m. when all the lanes were re-opened.
Authorities believe that alcohol played a role in the collision.
