Yorba Linda Pedestrian Accident on Imperial Highway
YORBA LINDA, CA (October 5, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries in a crash on Imperial Highway in Yorba Linda on September 26.
The incident happened during a Southern California demonstration involving members of Black Lives Matter and counter-protesters.
Responders transported the injured patients to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the authorities arrested the driver of the vehicle said Carrie Braun. Braun is the spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened while members of Black Lives Matter protested against police brutality and systemic racism.
According to police, counter-protesters walked across six-lane Imperial Highway and confronted the BLM protesters. Then, the protesters also faced each other in the parking lot of the Yorba Linda public library.

Meanwhile, a white sedan arrived and drove through the crowd in the parking lot. As a result, two people sustained injuries. People followed the car as it attempted to flee. Eventually, the police managed to pull over the vehicle.
As of this time, the speed of the car wasn’t disclosed. However, the vehicle sustained a shattered back windshield with a flagpole sticking out of it. Also, the front windshield was crushed.
Braun added that authorities detained the female driver.
