2 People Killed in Rollover Crash on 72nd Street [Waller, WA]

Waller Fatal Car Accident on 72nd Street

 
WALLER, WA (June 19, 2020) – Early Thursday morning, two young adults died in a rollover crash on 72nd Street in Waller.
 
The sheriff’s department revealed that the deputies noticed a speeding 1994 Honda Civic on 96th Street in Tacoma. Moreover, the deputies tried to stop the vehicle. However, it escaped and went over 100 miles per hour. Then, the officers lost track of the suspect vehicle.
 
At about 2:45 a.m., the speeding Honda drove down 72nd Street E in Waller near Puyallup. He was approaching east in the 6000 block of the road when the vehicle turned sharply.
 
Afterward, the vehicle spun out and the driver lost control. The Honda went onto the shoulder of the road and overturned through a ditch. Then, it rammed into a yard before crashing into a large tree.
 
As a result, the 19-year-old male driver and his 19-year-old female passenger both died in the crash.
 
The deputies are handling the investigation to identify the circumstances that have led up to the fatal incident.
