FONTANA, CA (July 8, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, two people died in a multi-vehicle crash on Sierra Avenue and Ramona Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 2:45 p.m. on Sierra Avenue and Ramona Avenue. Due to the crash, the authorities shut down Sierra Avenue for hours during the investigation.
 
“We started getting 911 calls of a reckless driver coming down Sierra at a high rate of speed,” Officer Daniel Romero revealed. “One of the callers estimated the speed to be over 100 miles an hour.”
 
The reckless driver rode a green SUV that crashed so hard into two other vehicles. The impact caused the SUV to flip several times. Due to the SUV’s speed, the red Honda and white Mustang drivers couldn’t get out of the way on time.
 
“I don’t know why he was driving so fast through here,” a neighbor said.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they found two people dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the SUV driver and two other patients required hospitalization due to critical injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
