2 Dead in Humboldt County Car Accident on Highway 101
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (December 27, 2019) – Two people died in a car accident on Highway 101 on December 18.
The incident happened south on Benbow Drive at about 9:00 a.m. A white sedan traveled north when it drove across the southbound lanes and crashed head-on with a northbound grey hatchback.
The two drivers both died at the scene. The white sedan driver also did not wear a seat belt during the crash.
The incident blocked both southbound lanes. Authorities diverted the north and southbound traffic onto Benbow Drive off-ramps.
Police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time. However, the car accident on Highway 101 remains under investigation.
