2 Dead and 3 Hurt in Los Angeles Vehicle Accident on 110 Freeway near 9th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 31, 2021) – Early Tuesday morning, two people died in a wrong-way crash on 110 Freeway near 9th Street.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway near 9th Street in downtown Los Angeles.
Reports revealed that a southbound Lexus SUV traveled in the northbound lanes. Them, it collided with a Toyota sedan carrying two people inside. A third vehicle then struck the Toyota after the first crash.
Furthermore, Sgt. Jeff Lane confirmed that the two people aboard the Toyota died in the crash.
Also, responders extricated the male driver of the SUV from the vehicle and transported him to a hospital with serious injuries. Also, a female passenger and a child sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Moreover, authorities believe that alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
The incident closed the Nos. 3, 4, and 5 lanes of the northbound Harbor Freeway at Ninth Street and the transition road from both directions of 10 Freeway to the 110 Freeway.
