Roads Partially Closed after Riverside Injury Collision on Mission Inn Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 13, 2020) – Late Monday morning, two people suffered injuries in a two-car collision on Mission Inn Avenue in Riverside.
The Riverside Fire Department revealed that the crash happened around 11:25 a.m. on Mission Inn Avenue and Chestnut Street. The incident took place just a few blocks north of the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.
According to police reports, the authorities dispatched multiple engine crews. Upon their arrival at the scene, they located an unconscious motorist hanging outside the driver’s side window of his vehicle. Meanwhile, another driver sustained minor injuries.
The paramedics transported the patient with major injuries to Riverside Community Hospital. On the other hand, the second patient refused to be taken to a medical center, the fire department revealed.
Due to the crash, the Riverside police officers partially shut down Mission Inn Avenue and Chestnut Street intersection as the crews worked at the scene.
Furthermore, due to limited information, the authorities are still conducting an active investigation.
