2 Hospitalized in Goodyear Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 10 and Estrella Parkway

 
GOODYEAR, AZ (June 10, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 and Estrella Parkway.
 
According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Interstate 10 at Estrella Parkway.
 
Reports revealed that a car and a tractor-trailer sideswiped each other. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to lose control and veer towards the center median. Then, the trailer overturned and spilled sand into the westbound lanes of traffic in the process.
 
Furthermore, after the initial crash, a third vehicle collided with the trailer in the westbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Afterward, responders transported two people to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the incident shut down all eastbound lanes of I-10 and closed multiple westbound lanes for a few hours.
 
All lanes have long since reopened.
