2 Hospitalized after Garberville Crash on Highway 101
GARBERVILLE, CA (June 16, 2020) – Early Saturday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a solo-car accident on Highway 101.
The incident involving a white Acura MDX occurred at around 1:35 p.m. on Highway 101 by the Sprowl Creek exit to Garberville.
According to reports, a 23-year-old female driver headed south on Highway 101. Unfortunately, for unidentified reasons, she lost control of her car.
Afterward, her car went off the road and struck the guardrail. Then, the car went over the edge.
Due to the crash, the driver suffered serious injury and responders took him to St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka through a Reach medical helicopter.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries and went to Jerold Phelps Hospital in Garberville.
The police do not believe that drugs or alcohol didn’t play a role in the incident.
Driving can be very dangerous if you are not driving safely and legally. This is especially true if you are driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. It is important to always abide by traffic laws and to do your part to prevent dangerous accidents.
