2 Hurt in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on College Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 7, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on College Avenue on January 5.
Authorities received a report of the crash at about 4:30 p.m. on College Avenue and University Avenue.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the driver of a northbound gray Chevy truck ran a red light at the intersection. The truck then clipped a white Ford van and overturned on top of a red sedan. The driver then escaped the scene on foot.
Meanwhile, the police found the passenger of the truck. They questioned and released the said passenger.
The crash sent two female sedan occupants to Mercy Hospital with injuries.
Authorities also dispatched a special tow truck to clear the area due to the precarious nature of the truck being on top of the sedan.
As of Sunday night, the truck driver is still at large.
