17-Year-Old Girl and 39-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Crash near A Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 15, 2018) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Tenth Avenue, early Friday morning. Neither identity was disclosed.
According to San Diego Police Department Officer Steve Bourasa, the motorcycle-car crash took place around 3:05 AM, at the intersection with A Street. A dark grey Toyota sedan, driven by a 17-year-old girl, was traveling eastbound on A Street when she collided with a motorcycle.
Two ambulances and a fire engine responded to the scene. The teenage driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the 39-year-old male motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries. There is no update on their current medical conditions.
Roads were closed down for several hours from the 1300 block to the 1400 block of Tenth Avenue, from the southbound State Route 163. Officials from the SDPD’s traffic division continue to investigate the accident. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
