Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Auto Accident on S Western Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 13, 2021) – Monday afternoon, two people sustained injuries after a fiery crash on S Western Avenue.
 
Spokeswoman Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said that the crash occurred at around 1:05 p.m. Moreover, the incident happened at 5131 S. Western Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle started to catch fire after the incident. The fire spread into the vegetation on a vacant lot near a house.
 
Furthermore, responding firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to put out the fire.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported a man and a woman, both in their early 20s, to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
Also, a Los Angeles police officer sustained a minor cut but declined further treatment.
 
The incident is under LAPD’s South Traffic Division’s investigation.
