Injuries Sustained in Mason County Auto Accident on US 101 and State Route 3
MASON COUNTY, WA (March 8, 2021) – Saturday morning, two people suffered injuries in a DUI crash on US 101 and State Route 3.
According to WSP, a 39-year-old Shelton man drove south in the northbound lanes of US 101 around 11:00 a.m. Then, he collided with a northbound vehicle near the intersection of 101 and State Route 3.
The crash left the Shelton man with no injuries. However, a 67-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Skokomish Indian Tribe suffered injuries.
Responders took both patients to Mason General Hospital.
Meanwhile, the WSP troopers charged the Shelton man with a vehicular assault charge. They confirmed that the driver was driving under the influence and the wrong way on U.S. 101.
The authorities continue to investigate the collision.
